A quick trip to Budapest to take advantage of their excellent dental services! I took the train out from Liverpool Street to Stansted and flew RyanAir to Budapest where I was met by a driver to take me to my hotel, all care of SODC (Save On Dental Care). The organisation was excellent and I was ferried about by taxi between the hotel and the Clinic which was very efficient and professional. I was in the city for three nights and had a bit of time to have a walk, eat, drink and take some snaps.
Visiting the dentist was never like this. The photos below were taken from my table at The Huzzah a traditional Hungarian restaurant recommended by the concierge at my hotel. When I arrived there was nobody else here so I did a deal with the owner: he agreed to serve me a traditional three course meal and if I didn’t like it he would pay. It was great so I bought him and the musicians a drink. They played two Edith Piaf classics for me: La vie en rose and Hymn à ľamour. Huzzah!
Some street shots of Budapest.
Lastly, here is a panorama looking across the Danube from Buda to Pest.
