Cold northerly winds but beautiful skies on the North Devon coast during the last few days of October .
Above is Barricane Beach between Woolacombe and Mortehoe. Below are some shots from Woolacombe beach. It was blowing a gale from the north and so the waves on the south west facing coast were small but the light was stunning approaching sundown.
Friday night is music night at the Grampus Inn at Lee. The quality of the music never fails to impress. Here is Eleanor Knight, a young singer-songwriter, followed by some shots of other musicians.
Saturday morning walking the cliffs to Ilfracombe I took this panorama of the ancient coast road; the stone surface was carved to give traction to the cartwheels.
The north wind was still raging across the cliffs on Sunday but the light during a walk around Baggy Point was at times dramatic.
The sky was very colourful throughout the day from pure blue during the afternoon, through a golden sunset to reflections of a silver sky at dusk.
