A visit to Knightshayes Court with Susie and Pete and Liz Williams. Knightshayes is a Country House near Tiverton. It is a very elegant, grade I listed building in a lovely parkland setting. The house is notable, architecturally, for both its interior decor and its external design and, historically, for its association with the Heathcoat-Amory family and Joyce Wethered, possibly the world’s most successful female golfer and winner of four British Open Championships. It is not, however, particularly old, dating from the Victorian period. Our house at Warmore, was at least 400 years old before Knightshayes was thought of.
