I caught a train from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street to join a group of old school friends for a reunion at Weatherspoons, Maghull. Next day I took MerseyRail to West Kirby, an old haunt where some of us fished for plaice and flounders a lifetime ago. Onward to Crosby to stay with brother John and visit some old favourites: Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’, Albert Dock and the Pier Head.
No trip to my home town is complete without a visit to the Walker Art Gallery. Here are some of my favourites.
