A visit to Sidmouth to see Dave Hartwell. We had a stroll in the rain along the River Sid to the seafront. On the esplanade the sun appeared for an hour but it later returned behind heavy clouds. We had a good chat and stopped at Selleys for tea. Walking back, deep in conversation and planning an assault on Snowdon, we were oblivious to the rain.
Here’s some photos of the River Sid. I had only ever seen its entrance onto the eastern end of the beach.
Earlier in the day a piper was playing on the seafront for the Devon Hospice.
